长期从事华南热带-亚热带地区晚第四纪气候环境变化方面的研究。近期重点关注：（1）雷琼地区泥炭、湖沼沉积记录的晚第四纪（侧重于5万年以来）陆地景观与气候环境演变；（2）海南岛湖沼沉积记录的全新世古台风、古气候以及人类活动的环境效应；（3）季风区古火历史及其对气候变化、人类活动的响应与集成分析等。已发表的部分代表性论文（*通讯作者）：
